How to Impress Your Customers

In business your customer is the most important commodity. Your customers will have the greatest impact on your business because they are the ones that will buy your product or service, recommend your business to their friends and family, and, ultimately, keep your business a float. Even though customers are the most important part of a business, many businesses don’t put an emphasis on the customer experience. So today we’d thought we’d share some easy ways to impress your customers and keep them coming back to your business for years to come.

Create a welcoming atmosphere for your customer. Use a neutral colour scheme that will appeal to most people. Also keep the showroom tidy and clutter-free.

Create a focal point in your business to draw the customer’s eye. It helps to have a main counter where your employees can stand and greet the customer as soon as they come in. Behind your counter you could add custom moulding or a custom bendable dry-walled feature wall to really draw in the customer.

Ensure that your employees make eye contact with every customer and greet them with a warm and welcoming smile; this will let your customer know that they can approach your employees with any questions that they have.

Dress your staff and your business to impress. Ensure that your employees wear a uniform or wear business professional clothing.

Avoid loud music in your business and play quiet background music that acts more like white noise. A business that’s too quiet could repel customers but one that is too noisy could be a deterrent too.

Finally, give the customer a reason to want to come there. Add an extra special touch like a customer lounge with coffee, magazines, a TV, and snacks. If your customer feels like your business is a place they can hang out in, they could be apt to spend more money and come back in the near future.

Remember that your customer is your most valuable commodity so always keep them in mind with every decision that you make in your business.
